Bringing you the biggest social media stories every Monday...

Tennis fans have taken to social media to express their feelings about the shock win of Ana Ivanovic over favourite Serena Williams. Williams was coming into the fourth round at the Australian Open on the second-biggest winning streak of her career -- 25 matches. A back injury is believed to be what knocked the world no.1 off her throne allowing Serbian-born Ivanovic to win: 4-6, 6-3, 6-3. Fans took to Twitter to show their support of both Ivanovic and Williams, breaking social media records.

The 18th seed's unexpected victory acquired 123,000 tweets during the match, peaking at 7232 tweets per minute at the end of the upset at Rod Laver Arena -- the numbers are without a doubt the highest in Australian Open social media history.

"Thank you so much for all the support I had today. Was amazing time on court for me. Love Aussies love @AustralianOpen #letsgo" replied on her Twitter account to the copious number of congratulating fans.
Williams, though flooded with condolences, remained silent about the spill.
